San Ramon debuts alarm permit program

The city of San Ramon is implementing a new registration system for alarms this year that is intended to reduce the approximately 2,000 to 3,000 false alarm calls to the city's police department each year, according to city officials.

Great source of revenue for the city... without diluting police resources.,,, due to slow or no emergency response. Please post the average response time for alarm-sites that send only signals of unknown origin.

I don't know, "free of charge" isn't going to provide much revenue.
