In fairness, when will there be an Oversight Committee appointed/elected watching the District Attorney's Office? C'mon now.

Recent police improprieties (e.g. the Hall shootings) have warranted an oversight committee of this nature.

The question is whether the Board of Supervisors will approve such a measure or acquiesce to the wishes and demands of the Sheriff's Department.

The Contra Costa County Sheriff's Department and its officers assigned to other townships need to be kept in check and held accountable for their misdeeds.
