The one developer who submitted a comment on the Housing Element owns the Village Shopping Center and his comment was focused on how they *wanted* to build apartments there but needed better development standards (heights, parking, lot coverage, FAR) in order to make it feasible. Danville's governmental constraints are the reason they can't build.

The reason Danville is fighting so hard against more density in single family zones is precisely because it's feasible to build. If no one wanted to build it it wouldn't be a "problem."
