Alamo teen charged in weekend altercation

Not sure why this publication is always the last to get news out, but I do enjoy reading the comments. Hope I read a lot about the parents. Did they not raise this child correctly? Do they think their child is perfect and defends them without getting details from both sides? Did they not get the help this child needs?


Juvenile Arrested in Weekend Altercation
Danville man hospitalized following fight

A weekend fight in the parking lot of San Ramon Valley High School adjacent to the Iron Horse Trail resulted in a Danville man being hospitalized and a juvenile facing charges in the incident.

Police Chief Steve Simpkins said officers were dispatched at 11:49 p.m., Saturday, September 19, 2015 to the rear parking lot of San Ramon Valley High School next to the Iron Horse Trail on a report of a fight. Officers located the victim, a 39 year old Danville man, in the area where the fight occurred. The man had been injured in the altercation and required immediate medical care. He was transported to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, where he was treated for his injuries and later released.

During their investigation, Officers located a 16 year old Alamo juvenile who was involved in the altercation. The juvenile was taken into custody and charged with battery causing serious bodily injury. He has since been released to his parents as is standard procedure with juvenile crimes.

A 39-year-old Danville man survived a vicious beating at the hands of a teenager in the parking lot of a high school near a trail late Saturday night, police said.

The 16-year-old boy, from Alamo, faces charges in juvenile court of battery causing serious bodily injury after his run-in with the man in a parking lot of San Ramon Valley High School that runs adjacent to the Iron Horse Trail, Danville police Chief Steve Simpkins said.

The man told police he was walking home on the trail and cut through the parking lot on his way there. Other teens also were present at the fight, Simpkins said, though police would not say how many. They weren't arrested but could face charges before the investigation is complete, Simpkins said…
