Will there ever be a day when people realize that drinking and driving DO NOT mix?! Another death where the innocent are, so senseless. God bless the Jimenez-Espinosa family.

Felony vehicular manslaughter carries a puny sentence. He will be out in less than one year and someone died due to gross negligence.

Bill, that crime is a wobbler. If it's charged as a felony (and he doesn't have prior DUI convictions) it's 4, 6 or 10 years in prison. So figure a 3rd of that between Prop 47 and realignment.

Who's drunk at 4:40AM? Just disgusting. My heart goes out to the big rig drivers too. So sad.

I remember a news story when there was a discussion about the most dangerous time to be on the road. The answer was surprising. Early morning, because even if bars close at 2am, people who consume a large amount of alcohol will still be under the influence. Many people are driving to work and still drunk at that time.

I agree Tami - this guy is hard core and it probably was not his first alcohol-involved offense.
