I'd like to hear Chief Meyer and Supervisor Burgis address emergency evacuation from the highly congested western Blackhawk Road/eastern Diablo Road corridor, which is designated by the Town of Danville's 2030 General Plan as an area where wildfire is an "Extreme Threat to Development." Despite that, the Town of Danville has just approved the appalling phony Magee "Preserve" project for 69+ more homes in this corridor! Meanwhile, we had a PSPS from 8 pm Saturday night until about 4 am Wednesday morning.

Local firefighters that live in this corridor tell us that some people will be unable to escape if emergency evacuation is needed. Eastern Diablo Road is substandard: two lanes with virtually no shoulders and varying widths between 10 feet and just over 12 feet in each lane, winding, and with limited sightlines. No where for cars to even pull fully over.

How dare the Town of Danville Council endanger our lives by granting a discretionary rezoning to allow the phony Magee "Preserve" development!
