A shoplifting suspect is in custody following a police response and subsequent arrest outside a San Ramon store on Tuesday.
San Ramon Police Department officers responded to a reported shoplifter in Target at 2610 Bishop Drive early Tuesday, during which officers arrested a person as he was exiting the store and identified by employees, according to a social media post at 1:30 p.m.
Upon investigation, more than $3,000 in stolen merchandise was discovered, according to the SRPD announcement. The arrestee, whose name was not released, was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on felony charges.
Good to read that some criminals are being arrested. We will have to wait and see if the DA does a catch and release … or if they actually do their job. Just my opinion.
Waste of time SRPD. Bectan will not prosecute.
