Police arrested two armed men accused of planning to commit a robbery in San Ramon early last Tuesday morning.
San Ramon police said on social media they responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle at 12:48 a.m. Aug. 15 in the 9200 block of Alcosta Boulevard in the south part of the city.
Officers found the vehicle and detained two men after discovering they were conspiring to “commit a robbery,” police said.
A vehicle search turned up a loaded gun and a replica firearm, along with cash and other items “consistent with illegal activity,” according to San Ramon police.
Both men, whose names were not released, were arrested and taken to county jail.
