DeSaulnier town hall
U.S. Rep. Mark DeSaulnier (D-Concord) is set for a town hall meeting in Lafayette aimed at providing an update and answering questions from constituents on government funding, support for working families and environmental protection.
The event is scheduled from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday (April 4) in the Lafayette Veterans Memorial Building at 3780 Mount Diablo Road. Registration is available here.
Spring fashion show
The San Ramon Senior Foundation is hosting a spring fashion show for all ages with proceeds set to go to the foundation.
The event is set to include door prizes, drawings, a silent auction, awards for best hats, and refreshments along with fashion provided by Chico’s Stoneridge Mall store.
Registration is open through Wednesday (April 3), with festivities scheduled that day from 2-4 p.m. in the San Ramon Community Center at 12501 Alcosta Blvd.
In-person registration that will guarantee seating with friends and family is available at the Alcosta Senior and Community Center at 9300 Alcosta Blvd. from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays.
‘Secret history’ tour
Former San Ramon mayor Bill Clarkson is hosting a tour of the city’s “secret history” aimed at providing a glimpse of the city in its present state along with exploring history that might not be apparent to the untrained eye.
Participants are asked to arrive at 8:20 a.m. for the bus tour on Saturday (April 6) that will kick off at 8:30 a.m., rain or shine, from the front steps of San Ramon City Hall. More information and registration is available at sanramonrecguide.com.
Irrigation lab survey
The Contra Costa Resource Conservation District is seeking input from the public on the design and implementation of a new mobile irrigation lab
“The goal of this program is to provide you with training, advice, and management skills to handle whatever irrigation water problem you may have,” CCRCD officials said in an announcement on March 25. “We also hope to assist in preparing you for future problems such as drought, salinity, and erratic weather.”
The district has launched a survey to help guide priorities for the new project, which is available here.
