Danville native Austin Holliday set two track and field records for Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) last week en route to being named his college’s male student-athlete of the week.

Holliday, a senior at the Worcester, Mass. college, was the top Division III finisher and set new school records in the 60-meter and 200-meter dashes during the Boston University Scarlet & White Invitational last Saturday.

The 2011 San Ramon Valley High graduate claimed the 60-meter dash record in a time of 7.11 and clocked a 22.20 to set the record in the 200-meter event.

Holliday also participated in the 4×400-meter relay as part of a quartet that finished second among Division III entries with a time of 3:18.95.
