The Danville Town Council is set to proclaim October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month at its regular meeting Tuesday, along with receiving several other regular communications from staff.

The council issues proclamations on Domestic Violence Awareness Month annually each October “to recognize the progress and the important work that remains to be done toward preventing and ending domestic violence and providing support to survivors and their families,” according to the resolution on this week’s agenda.

In other business, the council is set to hear a presentation on the town’s quarterly investment report, a Communications and Economic Development Department report, and a legislative update.

The Danville Town Council is set to meet at 5 p.m. on Tuesday (Oct. 15). The agenda is available here.
