Bank of Walnut Creek signs were taken down and replaced with First Republic Bank signs on Hartz Avenue late last month, following a merger May 22. Now that First Republic has officially set up shop, it is celebrating this week by offering free Otis Spunkmeyer cookies, hot cider and doggie treats to customers in Danville .
Local customers can expect the same staff with more trust, wealth and loan services, said Greg Berardi, spokesman for First Republic Bank.
“We chose the Bank of Walnut Creek because of the high quality of their staff,” Berardi said.
Danville residents specifically may be interested in investment management and managing liquid assets, he said.
