Pleasanton’s Ballet Roots Dance Company is presenting its second annual Christmas show for Tri-Valley audiences at a new venue this holiday season.

“Christmas with Ballet Roots” will blend classical ballet and contemporary dance for two shows next weekend at the Livermore High School Theater. A special guest performance from The Academy of Danse Libre will accompany the Ballet Roots repertoire.

“We are thrilled to bring ‘Christmas with Ballet Roots’ back to the Tri-Valley community,” artistic director Talia Fallis stated in a press release. “This performance is designed to be a perfect family outing — a delightful mix of classic and innovative dances that celebrates the joy and spirit of the holiday season.”

Ballet Roots, founded by Fallis in 2019 as the only professional ballet company based in Pleasanton, performed its inaugural Christmas show last year at the hometown Firehouse Arts Center.

The 2025 installment is coming to the stage in neighboring Livermore at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. next Saturday (Dec. 13), at the LHS theater at 600 Maple St. For tickets and more information, go to https://balletroots.org/events.html.
