The Danville Town Council is poised to issue a proclamation recognizing February as Black History Month, along with hearing updates from multiple town departments.

The proclamation is set to be presented to Mitchell Hopson, a director on the board for Leadership San Ramon Valley.

“..The Town of Danville is committed to being an inclusive community in which all citizens — past, present, and future — are respected and recognized for their contributions and potential contributions to our community, the state, the country, and the world,” according to the proclamation on the table this week.

While that resolution is the only action item on the agenda, the council is also set to hear reports from multiple town officials, consisting of a monthly report from Town Manager Tai Williams, a semi-annual report from Planning Commissioner Lou Palandrani, and a departmental report from Jenn Starnes, director of communications and economic development.

The Danville Town Council is set to meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 3). The agenda is available here.
