Due to blustery conditions on Sunday, PG&E has shut off power to a portion of Contra Costa County in order to prevent wildfires, Supervisor Diane Burgis announced.
According to PG&E’s outage map, the planned outage covers portions of the southeastern area of the county.
After severe weather has passed, PG&E will inspect equipment before safely restoring power, Burgis said.
Unplanned outages of over 500 households are also shown by Pleasant Hill, Danville, and Orinda.
