The town of Danville is celebrating the next step of construction on its Diablo Road multi-use trail project while advising drivers to anticipate traffic impacts related to the new phase of the project starting Monday.
The upcoming phase of the project consists of constructing a wall near the creek at Fairway Drive and Alameda Diablo, along with grading work on the east side of the project, with traffic control measures set to be in place during work hours from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Monday (June 15) through Sept. 15.
“Motorists should expect one-way traffic control along Diablo Road between Clydesdale Drive and Alameda Diablo,” town officials said in an announcement Friday. “Traffic control measures will include flaggers, signage, and advance notification boards.”
In addition, the county will be continuing work on traffic signal upgrades on Diablo Road from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through early next month.
Overall construction on the trail project is expected to continue past the new phase starting Monday and into December.
