Contra Costa Oncology will host a group that will provide a safe place to express and share thoughts, concerns and experiences for cancer patients from 10:30 a.m.-noon on the fourth Thursday of every month at Contra Costa Oncology (500 Lennon Lane, Walnut Creek.) The group is facilitated by Estee Goren, MFT. Call 399-1177.

    Does anyone know of a support group for the spouses/families and close friends (often primary caregivers) of those stricken with cancer?

  2. Dear Diana, you sound like a person that is experiencing this awful situation.
    Yes….there are many support groups. First check with medical center treating a family member or friend. They will give you a list of support groups that specifically handle care-givers and/or family members.
