Work crews are shutting the Stone Valley Road on-ramp to southbound Interstate 680 in Alamo during daytime hours on Thursday and Friday for sound wall upgrades, Caltrans announced. 

The ramp’s full closure will be in effect from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days (Feb. 12-13), weather permitting, according to Caltrans. Detour signs will direct motorists to the Livorna Road interchange for southbound freeway access.

“Caltrans appreciates the public’s patience during this essential safety work,” the state transportation agency stated.
