Drivers along Danville Boulevard in Alamo are being advised to expect delays of five to 10 minutes this week amid traffic control measures as workers trim and remove multiple trees.

Work is slated to take place between Hillgrade Avenue and Jackson Way and between Camille Avenue and Las Trampas Road from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday for the week starting March 2.

“This work will enhance public safety along Danville Boulevard by removing dead trees using a two-step process,” Contra Costa County Public Works officials said in a press release. “During the first step, all branches will be removed, with complete tree removal taking place the following day.”

The upcoming tree work is the fourth of a five-phase, multi-year project along Danville Boulevard as part of the department’s tree management plan for the area.
