Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Dear Reader,
Thank you for your support and readership of the Danville San Ramon. With the publication of our first article more than a decade ago, Embarcadero Media grew to serve readers across the Tri-Valley through the Pleasanton Weekly and the Livermore Vine. From the start, it has been our purpose and passion to provide fair, thorough, and independent reporting that helps residents understand the issues shaping our communities.
Over the years, we’ve weathered many difficult periods, but none as great as the challenge we face today. The ways people access information, and with that, how local journalism is sustained, have changed dramatically. What has not changed is our belief that strong communities depend on well-informed citizens. That’s why, in 2024, we created the Embarcadero Media Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that our award-winning local journalism continues to serve future generations.
The Foundation enables us to raise funds that help cover the high cost of employing professional journalists to follow local issues, watch over city councils and school boards, and provide our communities with trustworthy information. In our first two years as a nonprofit, we’ve begun to stabilize our finances and strengthen our ability to cover vital issues, from housing, education, and the environment to local government and civic life — while giving readers and supporters the opportunity to directly invest in this essential public service.
Your contribution helps sustain reporting that holds power to account, connects neighbors, and strengthens government right here at home. If you value having a trusted source of local news that reflects and serves our community, I hope you’ll join us in supporting the Embarcadero Media Foundation.
Thank you for being part of this journey, and for helping ensure that local journalism continues to thrive across the Tri-Valley area.
With gratitude,
Bill Johnson
