The San Ramon Valley Unified School District Board of Education is now under the leadership of Area 4 representative Susanna Ordway.
Ordway was voted in as board president for the current one-year term by a unanimous vote from her colleagues, who also unanimously selected Area 1 trustee Jesse vanZee as vice president and Area 5 trustee Rachel Hurd as clerk as part of the board’s annual organizational workshop Dec. 9.
Area 2 trustee Shelley Clark had served as board president for the prior year until that evening, when the torch was passed to Ordway.
The current turn as board president is expected to be the final one of Ordway’s second term, having been elected in 2022 and 2018. It will also mark the final year for vanZee’s first term on the board, which he was elected to in 2022, and for Hurd’s fifth term.
