The San Ramon Valley Unified School District’s Board of Education is set to reconvene this week for a special meeting after a shakeup in the administrative cabinet that was announced at its regular meeting.
The board will gather for a closed session meeting Friday morning to discuss the appointment of a new executive director of curriculum and instruction.
The move comes following a closed session discussion ahead of the public board meeting Tuesday, in which the board voted 4-0 to notify the former director, Debra Petish, that she would be released from her position and reassigned to a different certificated position. Area 2 Trustee Shelley Clark abstained from the vote.
Petish had served as executive director of curriculum and instruction since 2011, according to her LinkedIn page.
The SRVUSD Board is set to discuss Petish’s successor in a closed session meeting at 8:30 a.m. Friday (Jan. 23). The agenda is available here.
