A magnitude 3.0 earthquake struck near San Ramon early Monday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
A preliminary report from the U.S.G.S. stated that the quake occurred at about 12:30 a.m. and was centered roughly 2.4 miles east-southeast of San Ramon, about 4.3 miles north of Dublin, or 5.2 miles southeast of Danville, the U.S.G.S. said.
The earthquake occurred at a depth of about 8 kilometers, or around 5 miles.
No injuries or damage were immediately reported.
