Classic cars and trucks, low-riders, hot rods, muscle cars and customs are set to take over the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton this weekend for Goodguys’ All American Get-Together.

The annual car show, put on by the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association, is expected to draw more than 3,000 American-made and -powered vehicles for display between Saturday and Sunday – plus a swap meet, vendor exhibition, AutoCross racers, kids’ activities and more.

“The 42nd All American Get-Together is a two-day family-friendly event that mixes the latest Detroit muscle machines with traditional hot rods, classic trucks and the revered customs and low-riders of the West Coast cruising culture,” Goodguys officials said in a press release. “Sunday afternoon wraps up with a parade of chrome, glowing paint and rumbling exhaust as over 50 award-winning cars roll past the stage to accept their awards!”

The Goodguys’ AutoCross track will host qualifiers and the All American AutoCross Shootout, and there will be a vintage exhibition of dragsters during the Summit Racing Nitro Thunderfest and Saturday’s Burnout Contest.

Car aficionados can also meet with manufacturers and vendors in the exhibition hall, search for parts at the large swap meet and see what’s on the market in the Cars 4-Sale Corral. The Family Fun Zone will offer arts and crafts, a model car show and the Pinstripers Brush Bash artists’ display, organizers said.

The Get-Together is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday (March 28) and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday (March 29) at the fairgrounds near downtown Pleasanton. For tickets and more information, visit good-guys.com/aagt.
