Hospice and Palliative Care of Contra Costa, which has been providing compassionate end-of-life healthcare to patients for 30 years, has been renamed Hospice of the East Bay. For many years, the service that Hospice provided was limited to Central Contra Costa but now its pediatric program, Comfort for Kids, draws patients from Contra Costa, Alameda, Southern Solano and San Francisco counties.
In addition, Hospice is caring for more adult patients in Alameda County, and witnessing a significant increase in requests for services in East County. The name Hospice of the East Bay reflects the expanded area that Hospice now serves.
