Local U.S. Rep. Mark DeSaulnier (D-Concord) is set to hold a town hall meeting at Charlotte Wood Middle School in Danville this week to update the public on multiple topics.

“Over the past several weeks and months, our office has heard from hundreds of constituents on topics that matter most to the American people — topics like oversight of the Trump administration, conditions along the southern border, and support for working families,” DeSaulnier said in a notice. “I want to hear from you about these issues and others.”

This will be DeSaulnier’s 86th town hall or mobile office hour for his district since joining Congress four years ago.

Originally scheduled to take place in the Veterans Memorial Building in downtown Danville, the town hall will now occur in Charlotte Wood Middle School at 600 El Capitan Drive in Danville from 6:30-8 p.m. on Thursday (Aug. 8)

  1. Ya, let’s focus on Washington politics and Trump rather than issues such as growing homelessness in the Bay Area, San Francisco becoming a third world city with feces and needles on the sidewalks, BART becoming a mobile homeless shelter which is no longer safe to ride, and increasing traffic congestion with no relief in sight. It’s easier to point fingers at Washington than to deal with those in the areas he represents. Of course, the obvious answer will be increased taxes and more budget. Funny how states like Texas and Florida have no state income tax and don’t seem to have the same issues. Could it be mismanagement of funds or corruption????

  2. You’ll forgive us if we don’t come, but we don’t want to attend Mark’s bash-Trump circus. He always says it’s in response to his constituents but it has more to do with where he receives his big contributions from elite left-wing social activists. He’ll also pack the hall with his crazies from other areas. Marks, et als actions will actually bring more votes for Trump in 2020. No thanks, we’d rather stay home and watch stupid commercials on TV.

  3. Yes this politician is pushing his left leaning agenda and wants us to feel guilty cause we are well off. Guess what? That is all to get votes from those who want government to take care of them and hand out freebies paid for by the so called privileged. He wants open borders, higher taxes and rent control. Get the picture?

  4. Someone who does not focus on addressing a serious homeless problem where American citizens (many whom are Vets), live in squalor, does not get my vote. He would rather focus on making more municipalities sanctuary cities.
