A longtime soccer coach and current director of operations for San Ramon FC Soccer Club was arrested by the San Ramon Police Department last week for allegedly sexually assaulting one of his former athletes.

Luke Enna, a resident of San Ramon, was arrested on Oct. 30 and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility, days after an incident during which an 18-year-old woman reported he sexually assaulted her while she was house-sitting for him, according to Lt. Steve Brinkley.

According to investigators, the 18-year-old woman — identified as a former player and current employee of Enna’s — told police she was assaulted by Enna at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Oct. 27 after he returned home early that morning while she was house-sitting, Brinkley said.

“During the contact, Enna committed multiple sexual acts without the victim’s consent,” the lieutenant said.

In addition to working at the San Ramon FC Soccer Club youth organization, Enna is a former assistant girls soccer coach at Dougherty Valley High School.

Officers are still actively investigating the incident and are encouraging anyone with information on the case, or any other suspicious activity involving Enna, to contact the SRPD at 973-2779.
