An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 2.5 struck the San Ramon Valley late Thursday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake, which occurred at 5:21 p.m., was centered approximately 3.7 miles north-northwest of Diablo, near Danville.
There are no reports of injuries or damage.
