The San Ramon City Council is set to officially proclaim June as LGBTQ+ Pride Month in a resolution at its regular meeting Tuesday.

Mayor Dave Hudson is set to issue the proclamation to Taylor DenBroeder and Angie Corritone, board members of the Danville/San Ramon chapter of PFLAG.

Hudson will also issue a proclamation recognizing June as Brain and Alzheimer’s Awareness Month to Maya Geurtsen, director of the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

Councilmembers are set to meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday (June 13). The agenda is available here.

In other business: Jan Lee, assistant general manager for Dublin San Ramon Services District, is set to provide a presentation with an annual update from the water agency.

Hudson is set to present a recognition to interns who recently completed the school district’s iQuest program: Ha-Ly Carlson, Kent Kawashima, Tanvi Pandya, Aditi Nanda, Varsha Kuchibotla, Nadira Ramlogan Polo, Ali Taheri, Pranav Sannaasi and Kushal Dave.

  1. Will the City of San Ramon be displaying the rainbow Pride flag along with state and federal flags at all of its municipal buildings?

    With Juneteenth on the calendar, perhaps a BLM flag should also be included.
