Jeffrey Osborn was selected by the SRVUSD Board of Education at their May 16 meeting as principal for Diablo Vista Middle School with a start date of July 1, following several years at California High School in San Ramon as an assistant principal starting in 2019.

“Mr. Osborn brings a diverse skill set to his new role,” SRVUSD Superintendent John Malloy said in an email to the DVMS community on May 17. “He is a devoted educational leader who is committed to each student and their educational needs.”

“His team-building traits, commitment to strong academics, and deep knowledge of student support systems will serve him well as he takes on his new role,” Malloy continued.

Osborn’s time with the district goes back to before his most recent tenure at Cal High, having served as assistant principal at Windemere Ranch Middle School for six years prior to his appointment at Cal High in November 2019, as well as having served as summer school principal at Bollinger Canyon Elementary earlier that year.

Diablo Vista was previously headed by Rebecca Ingram, who retired at the end of the 2022-23 school year after nearly 20 years leading the school, which was founded in 2000.
