Contra Costa Superior Court Chatbot
The Contra Costa County Superior Court recently announced a new chatbot and virtual assistant feature that individuals can use when navigating the court’s website.
According to a press release from the county, the chatbot and virtual assistant, which the county is referred to as “Coco”, will help improve accessibility to court services for all Contra Costa residents.
“Coco provides general information about Court-related services, forms, and processes in plain language to assist users in navigating the website and accessing content directly relevant to their needs,” according to the press release.
However, the county noted that Coco is currently in the beta stage and that it might experience “errors and downtimes and may not answer questions as effectively as a human court employee.”
It also said that Coco can’t provide legal services and that individuals seeking legal help should contact an attorney or visit the court’s self help portal that is available on the court’s website.
