Louise Chalmers was born Aug. 11, 1929, and passed away July 8.
She came to the San Francisco Bay Area as a teenager. She first made her home in San Francisco, then Daly City for over 40 years. She was an elementary school teacher, but preferred working with preschool children. She retired as director of Kids Kollege PreSchool, which she’d created and developed into a successful business.
She touched many lives with her sense of humor, caring and generous spirit.
She was predeceased by her husband William Chalmers and is survived by her companion Rodney Auzenne.
She is survived by her children Cindie Simpson, Ivan Broussard and Richard Gleeson; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters, Anne Sterling and Rosa Bryant, many cousins and a host of friends.
Services were at Wilson and Kratzer on July 13 and St. Joan of Arc on July 14. Entombment was July 15 at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma. Memorial contributions can be made to Shelter, Inc., 1815 Arnold Dr., Martinez 94553.
