Danville: Prickly Pear Cantina closes its doors for good

The owners of Prickly Pear Cantina in Blackhawk Plaza announced that the restaurant permanently closed after nearly a decade of operation in Danville on Saturday.

Although he is correct that it is difficult for a small business to operate in CA, I think it has more to do with the mediocre service and the unseasoned food. Mexican food should have some sodium in it. Every time I went, the food was very bland. Hopefully he can channel his efforts on his other restaurants.

Wasn’t due to lack of salt. Food was just awful.

Agreed - I went one time and never went back. The little pear is a gem though, love that place!
