The first Primrose School location in San Ramon – and the ninth across the Bay Area – is now open on the west side of town, recently welcoming young kids to its programming for day care and early education.

Operated by Piyoosh and Neha Jalan, who own another franchise location in the Tri-Valley, Primrose School of San Ramon features 13 classrooms and three separate, age-appropriate playgrounds and can serve up to 224 students for its classes designed for children ages 6 weeks old to 5 years old.

“It has been incredibly rewarding to see how warmly the community has embraced us,” Neha Jalan told DanvilleSanRamon. “We are proud to provide a nurturing environment where children can build a strong educational foundation and develop a genuine love of learning.”

The 13,289-square-foot school opened Dec. 1 in the shopping center at the southeast corner of San Ramon Valley Boulevard and Bollinger Canyon Road.

It is the third Primrose location for the Jalans, who also run Primrose School of Livermore and Primrose School of Silicon Forest in Oregon. The couple, who immigrated to the Bay Area from India in 2023 and had a background in child care, said they saw a need for quality early education and day care services after they relocated and were drawn to the Primrose franchise model and its “Balanced Learning” curriculum.

“My husband and I believe deeply in the power of early education, and we’re proud to invest in a place where children feel safe, supported and inspired to grow,” Neha Jalan said in an earlier press release. “It’s a privilege to serve local families and be part of building a stronger future, one child at a time.”

The new school, which is located at 18080 San Ramon Valley Blvd., Suite 120, expects to employ 50 people at full capacity.
