The San Ramon City Council is set to confirm their choice to fill the vacant seat left open by now-Mayor Mark Armstrong Tuesday, following two special meetings to review applications and interview candidates the previous week.

In a special meeting Friday evening, the council conducted interviews with finalists Kyle Levy, Richard Adler, Tiffany Uhri Chu, and Baljit Sull.

The council ultimately selected Adler as the top choice to join them on the dais in a ranked choice vote. He will represent District 2 for the remainder of the four-year term Armstrong had been elected to in 2022.

Adler is set to begin his tenure after being sworn into office at Tuesday’s council meeting, and set to remain in the position through 2026.

The San Ramon City Council is meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday (Jan. 14). The agenda is available here.
