Letters to the Editor
What’s on your mind? The Danville Weekly welcomes Letters to the Editor on local issues. Letters should be 250 words or fewer, and must include the full name and address of the writer plus a telephone number for us to call to verify. Our policy is one letter per person per month.
Let us know about your milestones
New baby in the family? Son or daughter get engaged? Or married? Send us all the vital information, and feel free to include a photo. We also run obituaries free of charge and, again, we welcome photos. For our In Uniform section, send information and a photo of a resident who is currently serving in the military. Please include a local contact telephone number. Call or e-mail to request forms for any of these Transitions.
How to pitch a story
If you know of some news, activity or person that would make a good feature story, be sure to let us know about it.
To put in an event listing
Notices of upcoming events, such as performances, auditions, fundraisers, lectures, etc., may be e-mailed, mailed or brought to the Weekly, “Attention: Calendar.” Be sure to include a contact name and daytime telephone number. Deadline is noon Monday for that Friday’s edition.
