The Danville Police Department is continuing its investigation this week into a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian downtown Monday morning that left the latter with serious injuries.

Police arrived at the scene at approximately 10:45 a.m. Monday at Iron Horse Plaza at 345 Railroad Ave., where they provided initial medical aid before the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District arrived and provided transportation to the hospital.

The pedestrian was walking on the sidewalk before being struck by a vehicle that was turning into the parking lot. The driver did not sustain any injuries, and is cooperating with police according to a statement from DPD Tuesday.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact DPD at 925-314-3700.
