One person was treated for injuries by first responders with the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District after a vehicle collided near a centrally located Danville restaurant last week.
Officers with the Danville Police Department responded to a call at the Livery Shopping Center last Wednesday afternoon (Aug. 19), during which they spoke with citizens but made no arrests during the call just before 2:30 p.m., according to the police blotter.
SRVFPD responded shortly later, with firefighters treating one patient and the department’s Urban Search and Rescue Team stabilizing the area surrounding the longstanding Mexican restaurant Luna Loca.
“This incident is a great example of the specialized capabilities our firefighters bring to emergencies beyond fire suppression and medical response,” SRVFPD officials said in a social media post Wednesday evening.
Although the announcement from SRVFPD sparked concerns from Danville diners and fans of the restaurant, Luna Loca has remained open for business and the restaurant itself did not suffer any structural damage, according to a staff member Monday afternoon.
