The Exchange Club of the San Ramon Valley is again sponsoring a 9-11 Remembrance Ceremony at 6 p.m., Friday, Sept. 11 at the All Wars Memorial in Oak Hill Park, Stone Valley Rd., Danville. The 45-minute program will include reporters’ stories of ground zero; presenters will include Mark Curtis, Tori Campbell and Lisa Vorderbrueggen. There will also be an essay contest for school students. Students are encouraged to attend the ceremony and pick up an essay application. The best written essays will win a cash prize. Essays are due by 5 p.m., Friday, Sept. 25.

It’s wonderful to remember and remember and never forget. But really remember who was behind this attack. Oh, go a head…let the rocks flow. The real planners of this attack were in D.C. I know, the folks in the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s will never know the truth. But some day down the road, say 2050 or so, the truth will surface…it’s always does. And you know what…2050 generation won’t give a damn about hearing how our own government planned the entire attack and had some out of the country friendly’s pull it off. Think about it, if it didn’t happen by the power folks and it happen by a bunch crazy’s, well let’s just say shame on those of us who believe that.
Oh yes, remember September 11, 2001 because in 2020 less will give a damn and in 2040 or 2050 no one will give a damn, because the D.C. bunch will be dead and forgotten. You don’t so, well so be it. Keep the comments civil.

Thank you for publishing my thoughts on September 11 as an LTTE.
We must all be thoughtful on this day of remembrance and not vengeful in our resolve to make the lives lost important. Blogs, forums and talk radio give rise to urban legends accepted as fact, but do not change reality that our own resolve in remembrance is key to our nation’s learning from September 11, 2001.
Our enemy is ignorance, arrogance, prejudice, violence, and dogmatic antagonism. Such can destroy all of us from within.

I believe Julia’s ravings are a bit misguided. Let’s honor those who have given their lives which is the real meaning of “memorial”. Those are the people to remember and who will be remembered.

To Proud American…You think my comments are misguided. First of all the folks in the attack on 911 did not give their life…it was taken from them and don’t forget that fact. And yes honor all those folks that lost their lives. But do not live you life with blinders on…this tragedy was orchestrated by a very intelligent system…if you think not, flip those blinders over your eyes and enjoy the site.
