Friends of the Danville Library will host guest speaker Kay Payne at its First Wednesday Program today at 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 5, at the Danville Community Center, 420 Front St. Kay Payne will talk about “French Impressionism: The artists and Their Paintings” and will show slides. This event is free and is an excellent primer for up-coming exhibitions from Musee d’Orsay on birth of Impressionism and post-impressionist masterpieces. This event is free. Call 837-9736.
