The latest exhibit at the Alamo Danville Artists’ Society Blackhawk Gallery highlights how local artists find means of expression in a wide range of outlets.

“Artistic Discoveries,” which opened Dec. 6 at the Danville gallery and runs through mid-February, features 50 artists specializing in various media, including painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics and wearable art.

The showing includes works from four new exhibiting painters: Angela Barattolo, Cynda Grabel, Agnes Riojas and 14-year-old Trevor A. Pawlak.

The exhibit also showcases a trio of guest artists, displaying the handcrafted pottery of Akio Aochi, sculptures from Eric Haggin and a collection of glass snowflakes by Janice Peacock.
