The Role Players Ensemble presents Thornton Wilder’s “The Matchmaker.” The crafty scheming of widow Dolly Levi turns the world of Horace Vandergelder upside down in this frantic farce that served as the inspiration for the hit musical “Hello, Dolly!”
The show, which opens this week, runs at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays through Feb. 8 at the Village Theatre in Danville. Tickets are $20-$28.
