Less than 50 seats remain available for renowned country singer and actor Lyle Lovett’s visit to the Tri-Valley next month for an acoustic performance in San Ramon.
An Evening with Lyle Lovett and his Acoustic Group is scheduled for March 17 at the recently revamped Dougherty Valley Performing Arts Center, with approximately 40 tickets left as of Friday afternoon.
Lovett’s wide ranging career in show business has yielded 14 albums since his debut in 1986, as well as four Grammy awards over the years for his influential blend of country, folk, and blues music.
“Whether touring as a ‘Duo’ or with his ‘Acoustic Group’ or his ‘Large Band,’ Lovett’s live performances show not only the breadth of this Texas legend’s deep talents, but also the diversity of his influences, making him one of the most compelling and captivating musicians in popular music,” Organizers wrote in the event description for the upcoming performance.
The San Ramon concert comes amid a busy performance schedule in March for Lovett and the acoustic musicians joining him, who will start with shows in San Luis Obispo and Carmel earlier in the month before heading north for a performance at the Fox Theatre in Redwood City on March 13. Following a show in Folsom on March 14, they are set for two performances in Napa’s Uptown Theatre on March 16 and March 17 before heading to San Ramon on March 17, rounding out their Northern California performances for the month with shows in Grass Valley and Santa Rosa on March 19 and March 20.
