The excitement is building for next weekend’s Brilliance at the Bankhead, which will bring Grammy Award-winning singer LeAnn Rimes back to the Tri-Valley to headline the gala fundraiser for Livermore Valley Arts.
Rimes, who will be accompanied by the Livermore-Amador Symphony during her evening performances of songs and storytelling, first arrived on the country-pop scene as a teenager with her rendition of the ballad “How Do I Live” nearly 30 years ago.
In addition to her longstanding music career across multiple genres, Rimes has acted in film and television, and most recently appeared as a judge on “The Voice UK” and “The Voice Australia” last year. And she is no stranger to the Tri-Valley, having performed a handful of concerts at the Alameda County Fair in Pleasanton over the past decade-plus.
Next Saturday, Rimes will be the centerpiece of LVA’s marquee annual fundraiser. Brilliance at the Bankhead will also include dinner, drinks, dessert, live and silent auctions, and raffles — all to support LVA’s programming of shows, exhibits, classes and special events at the Bankhead and Bothwell Arts Center in Livermore.
“In the history of Livermore Valley Arts, this gala is looking like it will be the biggest ever. I can’t think of a more perfect way to launch our newest and most ambitious season to date. We are so grateful for all the supporters and patrons out there who recognize the importance of the Arts and how they make all our lives better,” CEO Chris Carter told Livermore Vine this week.
Brilliance at the Bankhead, which acts as the ceremonial kick-off for the 2025-26 Bankhead Presents season, is set for 5:30 p.m. next Saturday (Aug. 23) at the theater in downtown Livermore. Tickets are nearly sold out. For more information, go to livermorearts.org.
