Pax Vobiscum; Ars Gratia Artis
Throughout history, churches have often served as repositories of art. Such is the case with Peace Lutheran in Danville. Each year it hosts several concerts in the Jazz at Peace series, and the sanctuary has been converted into a gallery for a variety of exhibits.
Now, thanks to Pastor Steve Harms; Music Minister Gary Sponholtz; Webmaster Dabbie Bowron; and resident curator, artist, and my associate Bill Carmel, I am having a month-long exhibit at the church. Hanging in the sanctuary is a giant trAction Painting I completed by transforming bikes, skates, and a walker into ?brushes? (special thanks to Gary and Bill for suspending it). 
Also on display are a small painting and some tools of the trade.
Peace has also invited me to be part of the concert on Sunday, February 9. On the program is singer Tiffany Austin, backed by the Marcus Shelby Trio. I will be available to discuss my work at a reception following the concert, which starts at 5:00 P.M. Featured at the reception will be Noci Bella fine organic chocolate.

Thanks for posting this information. I shall try to make it to the concert and your exhibit. It’s a little inconvenient for me to drive to Peace Lutheran from south San Ramon and it gets dark by 6 pm. I’ll see if I can get a ride there and back because it sounds like a great event.
I’ve been to the Blessing of the Animals at Peace several times when I was fostering for Safe Cat. It’s a beautiful location and very friendly people.
