The Danville Town Council is poised to consider a pay raise for longtime city attorney Robert Ewing as part of a light agenda at its regular meeting Tuesday night.
Following his annual performance review, town staff are recommending an extension of Ewing’s contract with a $8,502 salary increase and a $3,060 increase in benefits.
That marks a 3% increase to Ewing’s current $283,400 annual salary, with town staff recommending the salary and benefit increases, and a contract extension through August 2027 based on a “highly satisfactory” performance review discussed by the council in closed session last month.

In other business, the council will heat reports from the town’s RecycleSmart board member, the Heritage Resource Commission and a monthly legislative update.
