The Contra Costa County Superior Court activated its new online defendant portal for traffic matters last week.
As of June 4, people can use the court’s traffic public portal to schedule their own arraignment times and view copies of their citations via the defendant portal.
The portal allows people to set arraignments at available times that best match their schedule and reduces the potential for confusion in the arraignment process.
The traffic portal and the link to the defendant portal may be found at https://cmsportal.cc-courts.org. Additional information concerning the court’s processes for traffic matters may be found at https://www.cc-courts.org/traffic.
The defendant portal is part of the court’s commitment to expanding access to justice through use of technology. It follows both the activation of the traffic portal and MyCitations (https://mycitations.courts.ca.gov), allowing users to look up citations online and to request fee reductions, extensions in time, or community service alternatives based on their financial situation.
