Trustees and officials at the San Ramon Valley Unified School District are set to weigh in on a Long Range Facilities Plan that has been under development for more than a year, with a workshop this week providing the board an opportunity to review and discuss the proposed plan ahead of its finalization and presentation for a vote at a regular meeting.

The upcoming special meeting will consist of an overview of the process so far in preparing a Facilities Master Plan, with the process having been kicked off by a contract with the architectural firm LPA Inc. in 2022.

“The purpose of this Board Workshop is to share the results of this work, seek input for phase one project prioritization, and discuss funding options for facilities projects,” District CBO Stella Kemp wrote in a staff report prepared for the meeting.

The board is set to review a presentation on the steps to date toward developing the plan, in addition to providing feedback on several areas before its finalization.

Contractors are set to incorporate feedback from the board at the upcoming workshop into a final plan, with the item returning to a future board meeting for further discussion and a vote.

The SRVUSD Board of Education is set to meet at 4 p.m. on Wednesday (May 8). The agenda is available here.
