The Danville Planning Commission is set to review openings for volunteer positions on the town’s other advisory bodies as part of a light agenda this week.
The town is seeking to fill 13 volunteer positions for terms starting July 1, including its Youth Poet position for a two-year term. Three seats with four-year terms are opening on the Bicycle Advisory Commission, as well as one youth seat for a two-year term, with four openings on the Parks, Recreation and Arts Commission.
At the county level, one regular and one alternate position are opening on the Contra Costa Library Commission, and one position is opening for a Danville representative on the County Connection Citizens Advisory Committee.
The town is also seeking a licensed architect to join its Heritage Resource Commission.
Applications are open through May 7, with interviews set for June 9 or June 16. The council is set to make appointments at its June 16 meeting.
