Firefighters from across the region were on the scene of a wildfire that had spread quickly to more than 100 acres Friday evening, which was reportedly under control as of that point and was posing a minimal threat to structures.

The Parks Fire broke out at Camp Parks near the San Ramon-Dublin border Friday afternoon, with crews responding at approximately 3:20 p.m. It had spread from approximately one acre to approximately 40 acres by 4:30 p.m., posing an immediate threat to neighboring structures according to authorities at that point.
